Here's how I feel right now.....[link]
What's with this crazy, hot weather? What can you knit in this heat!?!

A Sea of Blue
Stretched out on the bed, like a long, blue highway, we have Frill blocking. Soon to be ready for the big Gr. 7 graduation next Friday night. And while we're in an azzurra mood, guess who these guys are cheering for early tomorrow morning?

Sunday on the Farm
#5 and I went to catch the sheep shearing at Maplewood Farm a few weeks ago.
Don't forget - when you visit the goats and cows, clean your shoes on the way out!

Sugar Bunny Blogger
Last week I received this lovely hand dyed sock yarn from Laura at Sugar Bunny Boulevard. She was so generous in giving away some of her stock from her etsy shop. This colourway, pink lemonade, is what #5 choose for a pair of socks. Laura was also sweet enough to include these cute apple stitch markers. (which are already in use) Thanks so much, Laura!
One of the unanticipated but great side benefits of running this blog is getting to meet, in person and on-line, some wonderful people. I've had the good fortune of spending time with Li, Nadia, Justine and the as yet blogless Ivana.
If it weren't for the rather long commute time, I would sure enjoy meeting Laura, Dawn, Karen and Marina, amongst others.
The frill is nearing completion and it's a good thing because #5's "graduation" is fast approaching. Good bye elementary school, hello high school.
The next project already started...the Icarus shawl from the latest Interweave. And of course, once I find the right pattern, a pair of Pink Lemonade socks!

Another Saturday, Another Teddy
Teddy Bear #2 was started and finished this weekend. A sewing and head stuffing marathon while watching Cheaper By the Dozen 2 with #5 on Friday night and the remainder of the stuffing done while driving from store to store on Saturday. We're having our kitchen remodeled and it seems like we're constantly running from one place to another checking out appliances, tile, paint, blah, blah, blah. I'd like to wake up one morning and just have it done.
So here...the fruit of my weekend's labour
Paolo.
For now he's Paolo. Once the cousin and his wife have their baby, depending on what they have, Paolo may lose the bow tie, gain some frills and lace and become Paola.
And here are the happy couple - Isabella and Paolo soon to fly off to Italy.
I wonder if they've got room for me in their suitcases.
